IHADS was established to assist disadvantaged people and conflict-affected communities throughout Somalia by engaging in developmental and emergency-related programs by providing emergency relief assistance, resilience building, facilitating, and promoting local community engagement and programs that emphasize self-reliance with dignity and inclusion to the marginalized community and people living with disability. 

Ileys Humanitarian and Development Services (IHADS) focuses on specially the most hard to reach areas where it very unlikely for most NGOs to operate. The areas of intervention include, protection, WASH, livelihood, Integrated Health and Nutrition, CCCM, and environmental and resource management to improve livelihoods.

IHADS has successfully managed to build significant relationships with all stakeholders and government institutions, UN agencies, International NGOs, and grassroots, this has valued the work of IHADS in terms of funding, complementarities, context knowledge & and information sharing. Our organization has a clean record with its donors, partners, government, and communities 

 Our holistic approach is geared towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by basically transforming lives. IHADS interventions are based on SDGs. IHADS's Strategic Plan to contribute to National/State Development Plans of the areas /countries we work. Our annual strategies are based on the following specific SDGs
